Years ago, our family owned a cozy, reversible, extra-large, cotton-blend blanket woven with a lamb design. It was so well-loved that it became vital to our home and everyday life, eventually becoming something of a family heirloom. But years later, when we wanted to buy a similar blanket, we couldn’t find a single one that came close to our family blanket’s warmth, size and durability. Everything out there lacked the quality of the original—so we decided to create our own. Welcome to blankets, perfected.

At ChappyWrap, we have one simple mission: provide comfort to everyone, everywhere with the best blankets in the world. Calming, warm, and a breeze to care for, your ChappyWrap is sure to become an essential part of your everyday life! With a ChappyWrap, no matter where you are—you’re home.

In 1978 Ray, a 23 year old musician, decided to open his first clothing store in Biddeford Maine—The Haberdashery of New England. Only a few years later he opened a store in Kennebunkport, ME, and Fort Lauderdale, FL. Ray’s passion, dedication, and hard work has opened many doors for him in the fashion world, with stores in Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL, Coral Gables, FL, Palm Beach, FL, Wellesley, MA, Boston, MA, Osterville, MA, and Nantucket, MA where he spent the last 36 years growing his business.

On returning to Maine to open a store in Cape Elizabeth, Ray said: “I always felt like Maine is my home. My happy place. I kept my house in the West End of Portland for all these years just to move back here 32 years later. We were looking for a quiet and safe place near our home to reopen our doors after the pandemic. Cape Elizabeth stole our hearts with its natural beauty. We’ve only just opened and we’ve already made friends who’ve welcomed us into this amazing community. This is what I remember Maine being about. A truly beautiful American town.”

The Haberdashery of New England is a men’s and ladies’ clothing store focusing on everyday wear. Ray believes it’s all about beautiful fabrics, details, and timeless styles. Every year he goes to Italy to choose luxury fabrics for his collections so you can find unique designs in his store. His client list includes presidents, politicians, actors, newscasters and many fashion enthusiasts who are in love with classic, timeless, styles. Last August marked his 43rd year in business.

We have saying in our store: “Fashion is what you chase, style is who you are.”

We are open Monday through Saturday 10-5 so please stop by, say hi, and check out what we have to offer.

Proudly built in Freeport, Maine.

A family run ski company since 2012, Amalgam Skis was started from a passion. A passion to inspire a community of skiers with impactful profiles both on the hill and in their community. We design & manufacture every piece and part of our uniquely handcrafted skis and build them in small batches with the forethought of each individual customer. Over the years it is this attention to detail that Amalgam has become known for in creating high performance and high quality products.

We offer a full line up of ski profiles to choose from; a front face carver, an all mountain every day, a playful twin tip, a big mountain charger, and our new backcountry adventurer. Each profile is a handcrafted tool capable of handling the hard packed terrain, wind blown powder, and occasional soft snow we see here in New England.

Our skis are made with a wooden core from trees that are locally harvested. We hand select the wood for grain quality & structure resulting in a uniquely book-matched core allowing optimum flex to last you season after season. We take pride in the materials we use to build our skis and source them as close to home as possible with the mindset of supporting other local businesses and being stewards to our environment.

Our ski profiles come in a wide range of lengths and color options. We also design custom artwork for the skier wanting to personalize their profile.

Purchase your skis directly from our website or send inquires to our email.

Everyday is an adventure in Maine. Rogue Life Maine takes the state’s love for the outdoors and brings it to the masses with its Maine-made bags, backpacks and totes and unique designs. Started in 1969 by owner Mark Rodrigue’s parents, the company’s maiden shop, Rod Co., became a staple in the community for sports banners, jackets and awards. In the early 80’s the company relaunched its brand by adding high quality bags and totes. Migrating from athletic gear, Mark began focusing on branding Rogue Wear as a Maine lifestyle brand, and alongside his childhood friend Judy Hall in 2020, launched Rogue Life Maine. Its signature logo, a pine tree with a centered star, was inspired by the original 1820 Maine state flag, as well as Mark’s 14 acre Christmas Tree Farm in Lewiston.
“I believe there is an adventure waiting inside everyone. We live in Maine. We have all these great areas available to us right outside our door, to go for a walk on great trails and enjoy nature. Every excursion doesn’t have to be elaborate. It’s more about getting outside and making everyday an adventure.” -Mark

Sea Bags are nautically inspired totes and accessories handcrafted from recycled sail cloth in Portland, Maine.

Our materials come from Maine first, New England second and USA third. We use one of the last remaining thread manufacturers in the U.S. and one of a few rope manufacturers in New England. We collect our sails one at a time through a network of passionate boaters who love our community waters as much as we do. Since 1999, we’ve saved over 700 tons of sails from the landfill.

At our workshop in Portland, Maine, our skilled craftspeople transform reclaimed sail cloth into nautically inspired tote bags, duffels, toiletry bags and more. Unique stitching and character marks remain with the sails as we hand cut them to give each piece of sail cloth a second life as a Sea Bag; each bag as rugged as they come and each one, a little different than the next.
